Iran keen to boost agro ties with Tanzania

TEHRAN – Iran’s Agricultural Jihad Minister Mohammadreza Eskandari stressed the need to bolster political and economic cooperation with Tanzania.

Addressing the fourth Iran-Tanzania joint commission on Saturday, Eskandari said, “Cooperation with African states is top on Iran’s foreign policy agenda.”
Underlining the importance of two states’ private sectors cooperation, the minister said that Tanzanian government is expected to do the groundwork for “Iranian companies to help Tanzania in infrastructural and developmental programs.”
Tanzania’s Foreign Minister Bernard Membe who also attended the commission, told the IRINN that in the last 29 years, after the Islamic Revolution victory, “Iran has achieved industrial and scientific progress through its independency.”
The Tanzanian minister also said that his government is determined to boost political and economic relations with Iran. “Iran has changed the enemies’ sanctions into opportunities and achieved considerable successes in all fields.
